Matthew LeBlanc issued a farewell tribute to his former âFriendsâ co-star, Matthew Perry, who passed away suddenly in October.
In a post on Instagram, the actor who played Joey Tribbiani, the best friend and roommate of Perryâs, Chandler Bing, wrote that he was saying âgoodbye.â
âMatthew,â LeBlanc wrote. âIt is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life.â

âIt was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend,â LeBlanc continued. âI will always smile when I think of you and Iâll never forget you. Never.â
LeBlanc added, âSpread your wings and fly brother youâre finally free. Much love.â
On Oct. 28, Perry was discovered dead in the jacuzzi of his Los Angeles home after he reportedly drowned.
Days after Perryâs passing, his âFriendsâ co-stars, Jennifer Anniston, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, and LeBlanc issued a joint statement to People.
âWe are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew,â the statement said. âWe were more than just cast mates. We are a family.â
They added that there was âso much to say,â but at the moment they wanted âto take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.â
In his statement on Instagram, LeBlanc jokingly added, âAnd I guess youâre keeping the 20 bucks you owe me.â
