Former President Donald Trump is warning of potentially âcatastrophicâ consequences if he is indicted.
In a post on Truth Social Friday, Trump wrote:
âWhat kind of person can charge another person, in this case a former President of the United States, who got more votes than any sitting President in history, and leading candidate (by far!) for the Republican Party nomination, with a Crime, when it is known by all that NO Crime has been committed, also known that potential death destruction in such a false charge could be catastrophic for our Country?â
He added, âWhy who would do such a thing? Only a degenerate psychopath that truely hates the USA!â

In a separate post, he wrote, âPROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT!â
Trumpâs posts come after he predicted he would be arrested on charges stemming from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Braggâs investigation into an alleged hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
Trump also called for his supporters to âPROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!â
The Manhattan grand jury probing the allegations is not expected to move forward on the matter this week.
Trumpâs calls for protests were met with some pushback by Republicans.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) told reporters, âI donât think people should protest this, no.â
âWe want calmness out there,â he continued, adding, âHeâs not talking in a harmful way, and nobody should.â
Meanwhile, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) said, âI donât think thereâs anything wrong with calling for protests. Americans have the right to assemble, the right to protest. And thatâs an important constitutional right. And he doesnât have to say peaceful for it to mean peaceful.â
âOf course, President Trump means peaceful protests,â she added.
On Thursday, he claimed to be â100% INNOCENT.â He also asserted the country is being âdestroyed.â
