Chants of ‘Vote Him Out’ Break Out as Trump Pays His Respects To Ginsburg at SCOTUS

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump went to the Supreme Court this week to pay their respects to late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, but it was met with resistance from those who were mourning the late justice.

When the president arrived at the Supreme Court, those who were there began booing then chanted, “Vote him out!” Shortly after the chant started, the president and first lady could be seen walking away.

Watch the video below:

Ginsburg died at the age of 87 on Sept. 18 from complications of metastatic pancreatic cancer.

The public is able to pay tribute to her at the Supreme Court, and Friday she will make history as the first woman to lie in state in the U.S. Capitol.

Chief Justice John Roberts said at a private ceremony on Wednesday, “Her voice in court and in our conference room was soft. But when she spoke, people listened.”

The boos the president received on Thursday come as Donald Trump and Republican lawmakers have pushed for a nominee and vote to fill the vacancy in the Supreme Court. This has been met with opposition from Democrats.

The president has said that he will announce his nominee on Saturday.

  1. The only insult hurled is at Ruth Bader Ginsberg to not show her respect by maintaining decorum is an insult to her as a person. She would have not accepted that type of behavior and the people there showed their distain for common courtesy and disrespect for her family. Dislike Trump that’s your right but a little common respect is expected for her.

  2. “first class behavior!” ed

Yes, ed, I agree. With your words, not your sentiment. He is being shown the exact amount of respect that he deserves and no less.

Conservatives preach that we need to earn respect. Well, sobeit. King Donald The Loser hasn’t even tried to earn any yet.

  3. ed, PLEASE do not ask anyone to show respect to Trump UNTIL Trump displays respect for the office that he holds. I said 3.5 yrs ago that Trump is entitled to the EXACT degree of respect that he showed President Obama during his terms in office. How can you have an issue with that?
