Abbott criticizes Hinojosa income tax stance at Amarillo rally

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott brought his “Let’s Roll” get-out-the-vote tour to Youngblood’s Cafe in Amarillo on Oct. 30, joined by state Rep. Caroline Fairly and Republican House District 86 candidate Holly Jeffreys, as he campaigned ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm election. Several hundred people attended the stop. Abbott urged voters to support Republicans and criticized Democratic gubernatorial candidate Gina Hinojosa, alleging that her support for a state income tax conflicts with Texas voters’ opposition to one.
