AP review finds slurs and Nazi talk in Nevada GOP candidate forum
An Associated Press review of thousands of posts from 2022 to 2026 found racial slurs, praise or minimization of Nazi Germany, and defenses of white nationalist conspiracy theories in an online forum controlled by Nevada Republican congressional candidate Marty O’Donnell and moderators he selected. O’Donnell has used the forum, known as the Marty Army, to build campaign support and raise money; a former member said racist views were widespread. His campaign said O’Donnell has zero tolerance for hate, that it assigned a staffer to remove hateful content after learning of the issue, and that nearly 200 users have been banned. The campaign also pointed to O’Donnell’s public condemnation of bigotry and support for Israel, while acknowledging some offensive posts had been missed.
