Prattville police officer dies in off-duty Alabama motorcycle crash

Prattville Cpl. Dakota Lee Davis, 25, died from injuries sustained in an off-duty, two-vehicle crash on U.S. 31 near the Interstate 65 Pine Level exit on Oct. 26. Davis had served with the department for two years, and local officials remembered him as a valued officer and colleague. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating, and authorities have not released further details about the crash. His funeral will be held Saturday, Oct. 31, at Centerpoint Fellowship Church, with visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by the service.
