Alaska Toddler Survives Crash Killing Parents

Sasha Hart, 38, and her husband, David Hart, 41, of Fairbanks, were killed in an Oct. 19 head-on crash on the Parks Highway near Trapper Creek, Alaska. State troopers said a preliminary investigation found that Sasha’s Subaru crossed the center line and collided with a northbound pickup; the investigation is ongoing. Their 2-year-old daughter, Paige, survived with six broken bones and is recovering in stable condition. Relatives called her survival a miracle and remembered the couple, who had recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary, as devoted parents whose daughter was their entire world.
