Bombardier Plans $270M Investment Across Three States
President Donald Trump said Bombardier will invest $270 million in facilities in Kansas, Texas and Indiana, creating thousands of jobs. He credited Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton with helping secure the investment. The announcement follows Trump’s earlier threats to restrict Bombardier aircraft sales amid a certification dispute with Canada; he later said he would support the company and its U.S. workforce. Bombardier has separately announced about $50 million for its Wichita operations, but the $270 million investment’s timeline and allocation have not been specified, and the company did not immediately comment on the details.
