Flight Attendant Arrested in Alleged $25K Senior Scam

American Airlines flight attendant Destiny Blake, 24, of Brooklyn was arrested at Miami International Airport on a Flagler County warrant, accused of defrauding a 75-year-old Palm Coast woman of about $25,310. Investigators allege the scheme began in November 2025, when Blake posed as a Publishers Clearing House representative and told the victim to send a $500 gift card to claim a prize. Authorities say the victim lost access to her email and Blake received more than $14,000 through cash withdrawals and Zelle transfers. Investigators also allege Blake used employee travel benefits to fly to Florida and visit the woman’s home, was an authorized user on the victim’s Apple Card, and made dozens of disputed card charges exceeding $10,500, including purchases and delivery orders. Blake faces charges including organized scheme to defraud, fraudulent use of personal information and grand theft; the allegations have not been proven in court.
