175,951 Target Air Fryers Recalled After 40 Burns
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall of about 175,951 Gourmia stainless-steel 9-Slice Digital Air Fryer Ovens, model GTF7530, because their spring-loaded glass doors can close unexpectedly and burn people retrieving food. Gourmia has received 57 reports of the doors closing, including 40 reports of burns to consumers’ hands or wrists. The ovens, sold at Target stores and online for about $150 from October 2021 through June 2026, can be identified by the model and UPC on the appliance or packaging; affected units also have date codes 3021 to 0126. Owners should stop using them immediately and contact Gourmia for a free repair kit with a doorstop and installation instructions.
