Lead Found in Ground Cinnamon Prompts Recall Across 14 States

SLR Food Distribution is recalling Wise Wife Brand Ground Cinnamon after testing found elevated lead levels. The product was sold in stores across 14 states from September 2025 through June 2026. The recall covers 3.88-ounce clear plastic containers with black caps, UPC 0688474302754, and a best-before date of April 25, 2027. No illnesses have been reported. Consumers should not eat or cook with the cinnamon and should discard it or return it to the store for a refund; lead exposure may cause no immediate symptoms but can pose serious health risks, particularly to children after prolonged exposure.
