Tuchel voices sympathy for clubless Raheem Sterling after career struggles
England manager Thomas Tuchel has expressed sympathy for Raheem Sterling, saying the winger has struggled since leaving Manchester City at the peak of his career. Tuchel, who pushed for Chelsea to sign Sterling in 2022, said Sterling could not reproduce the impact he had at City and described him as a devoted father and a good person going through a difficult period. Sterling is now without a club after leaving Chelsea and a brief spell at Feyenoord, following a loan at Arsenal. He has also pleaded guilty to dangerous-driving and nitrous-oxide offenses stemming from a car crash and is awaiting sentencing.
