Digital Realty Opens 6.4MW Nairobi Data Center

Digital Realty has opened the 6.4-megawatt Nairobi Two Data Center, expanding its existing Nairobi campus as demand for cloud services, enterprise digitization and data-sovereign infrastructure grows across East Africa. Built alongside Nairobi One, the facility offers access to more than 100 networks, two internet exchange points and a satellite teleport, strengthening local, cross-border and resilient connectivity. The launch also marks iColo’s transition to the Digital Realty brand in Kenya and Mozambique, combining the company’s local ecosystem with Digital Realty’s global platform. The expansion is intended to help customers keep critical data and applications local while connecting to global cloud providers, partners and markets.
