Disneyland Ride Reopens With 1,000 More Daily Riders
Disneyland's Indiana Jones Adventure reopened Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, after a six-week refurbishment. Disneyland estimates the changes will add about 125 riders per hour, or roughly 1,000 more guests per day. The Orange County Register calculates that as about 300,000 more riders a year. The Los Angeles Times toured the ride ahead of reopening and spoke with Nicholas DiBernardo of Attractions Engineering Services. Temple doors were converted from hydraulic to fully electric actuators for easier maintenance and reliability. A May loading-parking fix and other hardware and software work help vehicles stop accurately; DiBernardo called it "a major win for us." Larger vehicle pouches target guest items, which he called the "No. 1 downtime driver." Figures were repainted, Audio-Animatronics rebuilt for full mobility, and more spiders added. The attraction opened March 3, 1995. Reopening was delayed Friday morning, then confirmed open on the Disneyland app. No contested claims found in the record.
