Donatella Versace, Revolve Launch Fashion-Beauty Venture
Donatella Versace and REVOLVE Group on Sept. 21, 2026 announced a joint venture for a new beauty and fashion business, with Versace as Chief Creative Officer. Beauty products will launch first, with the brand name and initial offerings to be revealed in coming months and fashion products to follow later. The venture will launch initially in the United States, Latin America, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. Versace, 71, became Artistic Director at Versace in 1997 after her brother Gianni's death, led creative vision for nearly three decades, stepped down as creative director in March 2025, and became chief brand ambassador. REVOLVE trades on the NYSE as RVLV, operates FWRD, and works with more than 1,600 brands. Mike Karanikolas said: "By combining Donatella's creative authority with REVOLVE's technology, infrastructure and global reach, we have an opportunity to create something genuinely distinctive - and build it for the long term." CONTESTED: Sources report Prada's 2025 Versace acquisition as about €1.3 billion ($1.5 billion) or €1.25 billion, and REVOLVE sales as €1.2 billion ($1.4 billion) last year or approximately $1.23 billion in 2025 revenue. A Prada representative declined to comment. The brand name and first offerings are not yet public.
