Lawyers Seek Withdrawal From Combs’ $100M Lawsuit
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ attorneys at Sher Tremonte LLP have asked a court to withdraw from his $100 million defamation lawsuit against Nexstar Media, attorney Ariel Mitchell and Courtney Burgess. The firm says Combs has been more than six months behind on substantial legal fees and has failed to participate in timely, substantive communications for more than four months, causing a breakdown in the attorney-client relationship. Combs disputes those claims, saying he chose to change lawyers because he believed the firm overcharged him and billed for expenses he had not approved. The lawsuit concerns allegations broadcast on NewsNation that Combs vehemently denies, and it is one of several civil cases in which the firm has represented him.
