FDA Recalls Two Supplements With Hidden Viagra, Cialis Ingredients
The FDA announced recalls of X10 Natural Enhancement Supplement and biQ-FEL, sold through Amazon, Walmart and naturefuel.us, after testing found undeclared sildenafil and tadalafil—the active ingredients in Viagra and Cialis. The products were marketed as liquid male-enhancement supplements, with X10 packaged in seven sachets and biQ-FEL in 500-milliliter bottles, and neither label disclosed the prescription ingredients. The drugs can interact with nitrates, including nitroglycerin, and cause dangerously low blood pressure, posing particular risks for people with heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol. Consumers should stop using the recalled products, dispose of them, and contact a health care professional if they experience symptoms; no adverse events had been reported at the time of the notices.
