Communities prepare Festival of Trees events to aid local causes

Several communities are preparing holiday Festival of Trees events. Santa Clarita’s 24th annual festival will run Nov. 20–22 at Valencia Town Center, featuring decorated trees, holiday activities and a gala auction, with proceeds supporting Boys & Girls Club programs for local youth. Carlisle Cathedral’s festival will display more than 40 trees designed by local organizations from Dec. 5 through Jan. 4, with free admission and donations welcomed for the cathedral’s heritage and community work. Sioux City’s 33rd annual festival will run Nov. 23–Dec. 2 at the Ho-Chunk Center, with decorated trees and a silent auction; proceeds will benefit the Miracle League of Sioux City, and a live auction is scheduled for Dec. 3.
