Activists Disrupt Seattle Diwali With Anti-Hindu Signs

Far-right activists Jake Lang and Thomas Allen disrupted a Diwali celebration at Seattle Center with racist, anti-Hindu signs, including “Deport All Dot Heads” and “Stop Hindu Replacement of Christians.” Attendees confronted the protesters, who were removed from the venue. Lang later posted abusive remarks online targeting Hindus and blaming them for Texas turning Democratic. U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal, Indian-American leaders and Hindu community organizations condemned the incident as racist and urged vigilance at upcoming celebrations. Lang leads the White Replacement organization, was convicted in connection with the January 6 Capitol attack and was later pardoned by President Donald Trump.
