Vikings WR Jennings Turns Down Trade Back to 49ers
Jay Glazer announced on Fox NFL Sunday on November 1, 2026: "Here's a little scoopage that no one knew." The 49ers and Vikings had trade terms worked out for Jauan Jennings contingent upon him hopping on a FaceTime with Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch and saying he wanted to come back. He did not. He said he wanted to stay in Minnesota. Glazer said Jennings likes what is going on in Minnesota and "Vikings fans, he likes what you have going on over there. And the 49ers always talk about getting left at the altar." Jennings has 4 catches for 43 yards on 8 targets in 5 games, with 2 catches for 34 yards against the Colts and 2 for 9 yards in four other games. He played for the 49ers from 2021 to 2025, with 77 catches for 975 yards and 6 touchdowns in 2024, then signed a one-year Vikings deal worth up to $13 million on an $8 million base. The 49ers brought back Deebo Samuel and Dre Greenlaw and traded for DeForest Buckner. The Vikings added Odell Beckham Jr. to the practice squad. Minnesota Sports Fan listed the Vikings at 6-0; Fox Sports listed them at 6-1. Contested: No contested claims found. The NFL trade deadline is November 10, 2026.
