Commanders’ Robertson Says Team Will Beat Eagles

Commanders cornerback Amik Robertson guaranteed Washington would beat Philadelphia in their upcoming NFC East matchup, saying the team needed to win out and improve its execution. The prediction drew attention as both teams entered the game struggling: Washington was 1-4-1, while the 2-5 Eagles had lost five straight and were dealing with major injuries, including quarterback Jalen Hurts being out for the season. Philadelphia sports commentators used Robertson’s remarks to discuss what they see as a leadership gap on the Eagles and question whether Jalen Carter is playing to his potential. Another commentator argued the matchup could be an ugly contest and that guaranteeing a win over a struggling Eagles team was not especially impressive. The guarantee also prompted discussion on Commanders-focused radio, alongside analysis of Washington’s offense and roster challenges.
