Vikings to start Wentz at QB against Bills after Murray ruled out
The Minnesota Vikings will start Carson Wentz against the Buffalo Bills on Monday night after Kyler Murray was ruled out with a hamstring strain suffered in the loss to Detroit. Coach Kevin O’Connell said Murray’s recovery is week to week, the team is not considering injured reserve, and Murray remains the starter when healthy; Max Brosmer will back up Wentz. Wentz is making his second start of the season and has thrown for 276 yards and three touchdowns. Minnesota’s offense ranks near the bottom of the league in key measures, and both the Vikings and Bills enter the game at 6-1.
