Cardinals Claim First Divisional Win Since 1924

Arizona stunned the Rams 18-16 for its second win of the season, as a more aggressive Cardinals defense generated key pressure and helped seal the result despite Arizona failing to score a touchdown on five red-zone trips. Josh Sweat recorded two sacks and Budda Baker added a sack and two tackles for loss, while kicker Chad Ryland made all six of his field-goal attempts. Before the game, tight end Trey McBride was identified as Arizona’s key offensive option amid injuries and roster changes; the Cardinals ruled out running back Jeremiyah Love and listed several players as questionable, while Rams defensive backs Trent McDuffie and Kam Curl were also questionable.
