Cowboys Launch Huddle 94 Mental Health Program

The Dallas Cowboys marked the first anniversary of defensive end Marshawn Kneeland’s death by remembering him and expanding efforts to address players’ mental health. Kneeland, 24, died by suicide on Nov. 6, 2025; researchers later found Stage 1 chronic traumatic encephalopathy in his brain. The team launched Huddle 94, a player-led program of small-group discussions about personal pressures and challenges, intended to complement existing mental-health resources and make it easier for teammates to seek support. Dak Prescott said the initiative is a way to honor Kneeland and create conversations that might help someone in need, while CeeDee Lamb stressed that players are people who continue to grieve alongside Kneeland’s family. Teammates and the organization continue to commemorate Kneeland and encourage others to seek help.
