Roddy White doubts Shanahan can win Super Bowl

Former NFL receiver Roddy White said he does not expect 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan to win a Super Bowl, arguing that Shanahan’s overly aggressive play-calling and poor situational decisions hurt his teams in pressure moments. White acknowledged Shanahan’s skill as an offensive mind but said those weaknesses become especially costly against elite quarterbacks. His criticism comes as San Francisco is off to a 6-0 start; Shanahan has reached two Super Bowls with the 49ers, losing both to Kansas City. White also pointed to Shanahan’s role as Atlanta’s offensive coordinator during the Falcons’ 28-3 Super Bowl collapse, though he has at other times praised Shanahan’s offensive ability.
