Pearce Questionable for Falcons’ Madrid Game
Falcons edge rusher James Pearce Jr. was reinstated after serving an eight-game suspension under the NFL’s personal conduct policy stemming from his arrest after an alleged domestic-violence incident involving his former girlfriend, WNBA player Rickea Jackson. Atlanta expected Pearce, who led the team with 10.5 sacks as a rookie, to make his season debut against Cincinnati in Madrid, potentially in a limited pass-rush role. However, a back issue flared up during Friday’s practice, leaving him questionable for the game as the team monitored his condition. The Falcons released defensive linemen Jared Ivey and Drake Jackson to make roster space. Wide receiver Zachariah Branch and running back Brian Robinson Jr. were ruled out with hamstring injuries.
