Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell is set to return Sunday against the New York Giants, his first game in 22 months after a severe knee injury in December 2024 sidelined him for the entire 2025 season. Dell began this season on injured reserve and recently resumed team practice after Houston opened his 21-day return window. Coach DeMeco Ryans said he has no major expectations for Dell’s first game back, while praising the receiver’s explosiveness in practice. Dell will rejoin a receiver group that includes Nico Collins and newly acquired Marvin Harrison Jr. Before his injury, Dell recorded 1,376 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns over his first two seasons.

Glad to see him back but the real test will be how his knee holds up in actual game action.

The coach is right to keep expectations low since two years away changes a player a lot.
