The NFL fined Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith twice for plays during Baltimore’s Week 8 loss to Buffalo that officials did not flag: $17,911 for twisting Bills quarterback Josh Allen’s facemask and another $17,911 for a hit on receiver DJ Moore, ruled a defenseless-player foul. The facemask fine was Smith’s second for that type of infraction this season; Allen said the incident was part of football’s physical nature.
