Cowboys’ Williams Rebukes Bayless Over ‘Execute’ Remarks

Cowboys defensive tackle Quinnen Williams publicly rebuked Skip Bayless after the sports commentator said on ESPN’s First Take that he wanted to “execute” Dallas players following the team’s overtime loss to Arizona. Bayless was riffing on Williams’s repeated use of “execute” while discussing how the defense needed to improve; Williams said the remark crossed a line and urged Bayless to do better. The exchange came as Dallas struggled defensively and squandered a 14-point fourth-quarter lead against the Cardinals. Williams has been one of the defense’s few bright spots, while fan reactions to his response were divided.
