Raiders Consider Starting Mendoza After Fourth Straight Loss

The Las Vegas Raiders have fallen to 3-4 after losing four straight, including a 35-21 defeat to the Los Angeles Rams, prompting coach Klint Kubiak to say the team will consider all options to address its problems—including a possible quarterback change. Kirk Cousins has started every game and threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns against the Rams, but the offense has struggled, particularly on the ground. No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza, who has appeared briefly in one game, was initially expected to develop behind Cousins. Cousins said he wants the team to play whoever gives it the best chance to win and praised Mendoza’s potential, while Kubiak has not announced a change.
