McCarthy Leaves Giants-Eagles Game With Hip-Side Injury

Giants quarterback J.J. McCarthy left Sunday’s Week 9 game against the Eagles with a hip/side injury after taking a hit from linebacker Zack Baun while running. He was listed as questionable to return and went to the locker room for further evaluation. McCarthy completed 9 of 13 passes for 101 yards before veteran Jameis Winston took over. Baun also left after the collision; he had recorded two sacks and three tackles for loss, and the team had not reported his injury or return status.
