Jaguars, Texans Enter London Game With Key Absences
The 4-1 Jacksonville Jaguars face the 1-4 Houston Texans in London in a Week 6 AFC South matchup, with Jacksonville expected to have an advantage pressuring Houston’s struggling offensive line and potentially in the running game. Houston will be without starting running back David Montgomery and safety Jalen Pitre, with Woody Marks and rookie Kamari Ramsey expected to take on larger roles. The Texans have also received encouraging injury news: Tank Dell, linebacker Henry To’oTo’o and cornerback Ja’Marcus Ingram were upgraded to full participation in practice, though their availability for the game is not confirmed. Jacksonville cornerback Montaric Brown missed consecutive practices and appears likely to be out, while several other Jaguars were limited or did not practice, including Ross Matiscik, who also missed practice. The matchup may therefore hinge on whether Jacksonville can exploit Houston’s line and whether the Jaguars’ secondary can contain the Texans’ passing game without Brown.
