Former 49ers’ Joe Williams arrested in West Hollywood

Former San Francisco 49ers running back Joseph Williams, 33, was arrested in West Hollywood after deputies say he fled on foot during a second encounter with officers on Oct. 28. Authorities said they discovered an outstanding felony warrant alleging receipt of stolen property after an initial stop ended with a verbal warning. Deputies caught Williams near Formosa Avenue and Romaine Street; he was booked on suspicion of receiving stolen property, resisting or obstructing an officer, vandalism, trespassing and violating probation or supervised release. He remained held on $50,000 bail, with a court appearance scheduled for Nov. 2, 2026.
