Undefeated 49ers Visit Falcons Sunday

The undefeated San Francisco 49ers, who are 6-0, visit the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday in a consequential game for Atlanta’s playoff hopes as the Falcons try to end a two-game losing streak. San Francisco has injuries to key receivers; Mike Evans is unlikely to play after aggravating Achilles tendinitis, and the 49ers finished their previous game without their top six wideouts. Quarterback Brock Purdy leads the NFL with 14 passing touchdowns and an 83.0 QBR. The 49ers are expected to pressure Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and contain running back Bijan Robinson, who has 641 rushing yards and five total touchdowns. The game reunites Atlanta with former head coach Raheem Morris, now San Francisco’s defensive coordinator; the teams last met about a year ago, when the 49ers won 20-10.
