Patriots Beat Dolphins 24-19 in Rain-Soaked Game

The Patriots beat the Dolphins 24-19 in a rain-soaked game despite missing key offensive players A.J. Brown, Romeo Doubs and Mack Hollins; tight end Hunter Henry also left with an injury. New England’s depleted receiving group helped turn the game in the second half, as Kyle Williams caught a 43-yard touchdown, DeMario Douglas scored on a 48-yard reception and Efton Chism had five catches; the three combined for 156 of Drake Maye’s 199 passing yards. Maye completed 16 of 20 passes for two touchdowns, added a rushing score and celebrated it with a gesture honoring Henry. The win showcased the Patriots’ depth, though their injury-hit receiving corps remains a concern, and one report identified Colts receiver Josh Downs as a possible trade target.
