NFL Trade Speculation Centers on Chargers, Raiders
At 0-6, the Los Angeles Chargers face pressure to sell before the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline and build for 2027, although reports say they are not currently taking offers. Khalil Mack and cornerback Donte Jackson are among the proposed candidates: Mack is productive but 35 and on an expiring contract, while Jackson’s coverage has been uneven this season despite stronger prior performance. ESPN’s Bill Barnwell suggested sending both to Detroit for 2027 fourth- and sixth-round picks, potentially with Los Angeles absorbing some salary; the Lions could use defensive help, and the trade could give Mack a chance to join a contender. Other coverage estimates Mack alone might bring about a fifth-round pick, with a fourth-rounder possible if teams compete. Separately, the Raiders’ struggles against the run have prompted discussion of interior defensive-line upgrades, with The Athletic identifying seven potential trade targets.
