Broncos Place Uwazurike on Injured Reserve

The Broncos placed defensive lineman Eyioma Uwazurike on injured reserve with a shoulder injury sustained against Kansas City, meaning he will miss at least four games and is eligible to return in Week 14. His absence leaves Denver thinner up front, with Sai’vion Jones, Jordan Jackson, Tyler Onyedim and Malcolm Roach among the options for increased playing time. Safety Brandon Jones and cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine were also ruled out against Carolina, while safety Talanoa Hufanga remained questionable as he returns from an ankle injury. Denver activated receiver Pat Bryant from injured reserve, promoted returner Sean Fresch Jr. to the active roster, and re-signed safety Taylor Rapp to the practice squad before elevating him for the game.
