Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell lay motionless after tackling Minnesota tight end T.J. Hockenson early in the fourth quarter with Detroit ahead 12-7. Medical personnel from both teams attended to him for several minutes as players from both sides took a knee and Aidan Hutchinson stood in tears. Campbell was secured to a backboard, carted off Ford Field, and taken to a local Detroit hospital for a neck injury evaluation. Jimmy Rolder also went down on the play and left with assistance. The Lions had already lost Brian Branch and D.J. Wonnum to concussions from an earlier helmet-to-helmet collision. Detroit won 19-15. CONTESTED: Stoppage time is reported as over five minutes in one account and nearly or over 10 minutes in others. Coach Dan Campbell said after the game: "Our thoughts and prayers are with Jack and his family. He's being taken care of. We don't have any new information. We'll keep you updated as this goes, but we're thinking about him." Jared Goff said: "Definitely scary and just brings you back to reality for the moment. He's a husband and a father. It's scary. We're praying for him and hoping it's alright." Al Karsten called it "the scariest moment I've ever experienced at Ford Field." No further update on Campbell's condition was reported. Campbell signed a four-year, $81 million extension through 2030 with $51.4 million guaranteed; he and wife Megan, who met at Iowa, welcomed son Cooper in July.

Losing both linebackers on one tackle is going to sting the Lions defense if either one misses time.
Hope Campbell's neck is okay after that hit, those kinds of plays always look worse than they turn out.
