Texans rally late but fall to Giants in overtime
The Houston Texans fell 27-21 to the New York Giants in overtime, dropping to 2-5 and extending their home struggles. C.J. Stroud threw two touchdown passes, including a late score to Xavier Hutchinson that tied the game, but Houston went three-and-out on its first overtime possession before the Giants scored to win. The Texans’ offense lacked consistency, while 10 penalties and defensive breakdowns contributed to the defeat, despite Houston recording three sacks. The game also marked Tank Dell’s return from the serious leg injury he suffered in December 2024. At 2-5, Houston faces a difficult path to the playoffs and a challenging upcoming stretch of games.
