Cowboys Place Rookie Lawrence on IR With Ankle Sprain, Activate Liufau
The Dallas Cowboys placed rookie outside linebacker Malachi Lawrence on injured reserve with a high ankle sprain, sidelining him for at least four games after he was hurt against Arizona. Dallas activated Marist Liufau, who had been recovering from a preseason forearm fracture, to fill the roster spot as he returns to the linebacker rotation. The Cowboys also elevated receiver Jordan Hudson and tight end James Mitchell from the practice squad for their Week 9 game against Indianapolis. Defensive tackle Jonathan Bullard will remain on injured reserve for at least another week.
