Fitness brands expand across four markets
Fitness offerings are expanding beyond conventional gyms, from Johannesburg wellness clubs that combine movement, recovery and community to large, amenity-rich fitness centers opening or planned elsewhere. Onelife Fitness has announced two roughly $24 million Richmond-area clubs, each designed as a two-story facility, with openings targeted by the end of 2028. In Alabama, its 68,000-square-foot Lee Branch location has opened with strength and cardio equipment, group classes and a dedicated reformer Pilates studio. In Lebanon, Fitness Zone previewed a new Waterfront City Dbayeh branch, its eighth in the country, ahead of its official opening. Together, the reports highlight both lifestyle-focused wellness spaces and the continued growth of full-service gyms.
