Florida Woman Pleads Guilty to Producing Child Sexual Abuse Material

Trinity Joy Johnson, a Gainesville, Florida, woman, pleaded guilty to two counts of producing child sexual abuse material, 15 counts of distributing it and one count of possessing it. Prosecutors said she photographed a toddler in her care, shared the images and other illegal material with strangers online, and had more than 100 such files on her cellphone. Johnson faces 15 to 30 years in prison for each production count, five to 20 years for each distribution count and up to 20 years for possession. Her sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 23, 2026, in federal court in Gainesville. The case was investigated by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations as part of the Justice Department’s Project Safe Childhood.
