Former Bank Manager Pleads Guilty to $335,000 Customer Theft
Reagan France, 36, a former branch manager at Home Savings Bank in Ludlow, Kentucky, pleaded guilty to bank fraud, theft by a bank employee and aggravated identity theft. Prosecutors said she embezzled about $335,000 from more than 20 customer accounts between 2022 and 2024, including accounts belonging to two nonprofits where she volunteered. She allegedly transferred funds into accounts she controlled, made unauthorized cash withdrawals, used other employees’ credentials and forged withdrawal slips to conceal the transactions. France resigned at the end of 2024 and was ordered to pay restitution; the bank said affected customers have been reimbursed. Her sentencing hearing is scheduled for Jan. 13, 2027.
