Harris plans multistate push for Democrats
Democratic leaders Andy Beshear and Kamala Harris are campaigning across multiple states to help their party ahead of the Nov. 3 midterms. Beshear plans to visit eight states, including Kansas and Oklahoma, where President Trump won by double digits in 2024, as Democrats seek to hold governorships and the Democratic Governors Association backs its candidates. Harris’s stops include Nevada, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Wisconsin and Georgia, where she is supporting candidates in key gubernatorial and Senate races and promoting reproductive rights. In New Hampshire, she will campaign with Senate candidate Chris Pappas, whose close race against Republican John E. Sununu is viewed as leaning Democratic; Harris and former President Barack Obama have also endorsed gubernatorial candidate Cinde Warmington. Harris’s return to campaigning has renewed speculation about a possible 2028 presidential bid, though she has not announced plans to run.
