Lonza Raises Midterm Growth Targets, Backs 2026 Outlook
Lonza raised mid-term targets at its Capital Markets Day to average organic sales growth of 10% to 13% and a core EBITDA margin in the high thirties. It reaffirmed full-year 2026 outlook of 11% to 12% CER sales growth and a 33% to 34% core EBITDA margin after Q3 results met expectations across all platforms, while still expecting a 2% to 3% negative foreign exchange hit on sales growth. The firm also aims for ROIC of two to three times WACC and organic CapEx around the mid-to-high teens of sales. Lonza's Wolfgang Wienand said the company performed well in Q3 2026 and continued to successfully execute its One Lonza Strategy, and that the pure-play CDMO transformation created a stronger, more integrated global organization delivering for customers across all business platforms. Capsules & Health Ingredients is forecast for mid-single-digit CER sales growth for the full year. Shares rose 2.5% on the news, per The Pharmaletter. No contested claims found across available coverage. Lonza had upgraded the 2026 outlook after H1 and exited Capsules & Health Ingredients in its CDMO shift.
