Orkin ranks Los Angeles top rattiest U.S. city for second year
Los Angeles topped Orkin’s 2026 ranking of the nation’s “rattiest” cities for the second year in a row, followed by Chicago, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. The list is based on new residential rodent treatments Orkin performed from August 2025 to August 2026, so it measures the company’s service activity—not the actual number of rats in each city. California had four cities in the top 50; other regional results included Greenville, South Carolina, at No. 40, Albany at No. 39 and Phoenix at No. 46.
