Lucy Hale, Ian Harding Reunite in Hulu Christmas Rom-Com

Lucy Hale and Ian Harding reunite in Hulu’s holiday romantic comedy The 12 Dates of Christmas, their first project together since playing Aria and Ezra on Pretty Little Liars. Hale stars as Christina, a career-focused shop owner who goes on 12 dates in the weeks before Christmas in hopes of finding a lasting relationship; Harding plays Peter, a former classmate who reconnects with her. The actors said their long friendship made the reunion feel natural, while Hale enjoyed playing out a string of disastrous dates—including encounters with an influencer and a man who brings his mother. Their promotion has also revived discussion of Aria and Ezra’s controversial teacher-student relationship, which Hale and Harding recognize is viewed differently today. The film is streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
