Man charged in Lufkin double homicide amid reported Wi-Fi disputes
Jeremiah McGee, 47, has been charged with capital murder in the fatal shootings of Lufkin neighbors Maria Davalos and her son, Ariel Arellano Jr., who were found dead in their home Oct. 23. Police said investigators identified McGee as their main suspect and arrested him at his home, where they recovered a gun that ballistic testing later linked to shell casings from the crime scene. Investigators said people they interviewed, including McGee, described disputes over Wi-Fi access between him and the victims, but authorities have not established that the dispute was a motive. McGee is being held in the Angelina County Jail, and reports say his bond was set at $2 million.
