Mitsubishi Plans $490M Georgia Expansion, 220 Jobs
Mitsubishi Power Americas plans to invest $490 million to expand its Savannah Machinery Works near Pooler, Georgia, adding 450,000 square feet and more than 220 jobs. The facility makes and services gas turbines, steam turbines and other power-generation equipment, and the expansion is intended to increase manufacturing capacity amid rising electricity demand while strengthening the company’s U.S. supply chain. Hiring is expected across manufacturing, engineering, operations, maintenance, logistics and technical roles; construction and hiring timelines have not been announced. The project was announced alongside an expansion framework agreement with the Savannah Economic Development Authority and builds on Mitsubishi Power’s long-standing presence in the region.
