New Yalu River Bridge Nears Opening After Decade

North Korea appears close to opening the New Yalu River Bridge linking Sinuiju with Dandong, after more than a decade of delays caused by unfinished roads and customs facilities on the North Korean side. Satellite imagery and reports from South Korean analysts indicate that the customs and immigration complex is nearly complete, with paving, landscaping and other final work underway, although neither government has officially confirmed an opening date.
